Gamboge Pro Tip
Gamboge typically arrives slightly unripe, appearing green to yellow-green. Once ripe, it transforms into a bright yellow shade and feels slightly soft to touch, leaving a mark when gently pressed. The fruit, when cut open, reveals a yellow inside similar in texture to a plum or nectarine.
