Black Sapote Pro Tips
Black Sapote arrives slightly unripe. The black sapote is at optimal ripeness when extremely soft to the touch (like a ripe tomato) and the green skin turns a bit brown. When cut open, there will be a rich dark chocolate pudding like color . The skin can be eaten if chosen to for added fiber, or you can use a spoon and scoop out the fruit.
