Resembling a football in shape with rough brown skin, Mamey's flesh ranges from salmon pink to bright red. Its texture is soft and smooth, offering a sweet and unique taste, akin to a blend of pumpkin, sweet potato, and papaya.

Your Mamey will arrive unripe and hard. It becomes soft when ripe, signaling it's ready to eat. Simply cut it lengthwise, remove the large inedible seed, and savor the exotic flavor. Remember, the skin is not consumed.

When I eat the fruit from IHeartFruit I can only imagine the Garden of Eden/Paradise where these luscious fruits and more could have proliferated and wonder...WHAT WERE ADAM AND EVE THINKING when they sold out the human race for an apple?! Our order came quickly! The Jamey’s were not quite ripe but ripened after a couple of days. We ate one mamey and it was delicious. We also ate one of the coconuts. It was a very interesting spongy texture. It was best to eat small pieces slowly and savor the sweetness.

These are beautiful fruit I shared one with one friend from Gujarat. And the funny part was that they didn't understand that the family of sapote has different fruits. In western Indian sapodilla grows all over. And my friend was so happy that I gifted her the fruit. The fruit is not ready to eat. This is one of my favorite fruits and I know I will enjoy them.
