Jackfruit Pro Tips

Your jackfruit will arrive in an unripe, partially ripe or ripe state as transit conditions can speed up the ripening process. It's fully ripe when the exterior turns gold or light brown. The key indicator of ripeness is the firmness and smell. When ripe, the sweet smell will be very strong and the spikes on the skin will be soft to the touch. Use caution when opening - jackfruit releases a sticky sap! We use oil on our hands and knife when preparing jackfruit to prevent the sap from sticking. Check out our video below on preparing jackfruit.
