The coconut is one of the most interesting and versatile "fruits" in the world. During the Coconut's life cycle, it has different properties at different stages of maturity.
After maturing and turning brown on the tree for about 4-6 months, the coconut falls naturally, and starts to develop a sprout from the seed. When the mature coconut falls the seed starts to consume the meat and water after a few more months, which begins the sprouting and germination process. Once sprouted an airy, spongy mass forms on the inside that has a crunchy, savory exterior and a sweet light interior.
This is when coconut reaches its peak nutrient density. It has a Coconut Saltwater Taffy Flavor, and unique, spongy, foam like texture.
iHeartFruitBox sources our sprouted coconuts from local Coconut Farmers in Florida.
