We strive for the broadest seasonal variety, and treat every box as if we were the ones receiving it.

Coconuts: The Versatile Tropical Delight
Embark on a tropical journey with coconuts, believed to be native to the coastal regions of Tropical Asia and the Pacific. Our coconuts, harvested locally from South Florida, come in diverse varieties, differing in shape, color, and size.
Distinguished as a drupe, a coconut is a unique blend of fruit, nut, and seed. Encased within its rugged exterior is a layer of nutritious meat, varying in thickness based on the coconut's maturity. This meat surrounds the coconut water, an electrolyte-rich natural beverage.
Coconuts aren't just a treat for the palate but are packed with essential nutrients. They are rich in calories, vitamins, and minerals, making them a complete food. Furthermore, coconut water is an electrolyte powerhouse, perfect for hydration.
Always stay informed about delivery times after placing your order, as prolonged exposure to outdoor heat can affect coconut freshness.
ORDERS ARE PACKED FOR SHIPPING AT THE START OF THE WEEK FOLLOWING THE PURCHASE DATE. THEY DON'T SHIP IMMEDIATELY UPON ORDERING.

Coconut Pro Tips
Your coconuts arrive ready to be cracked open. Store in a cool, dry place to preserve freshness. Typically, coconuts have a shelf life of 1-2 weeks when stored properly. The coconut water inside serves as a natural indicator of freshness; if it tastes sour or fermented, the coconut may be past its prime. For extended storage, refrigerate the coconut. To open, use a sharp knife or a coconut tool to puncture and drain the water before breaking it open.

The coconut is one of the most interesting and versatile "fruits" in the world. During the Coconut's life cycle, it has different properties at different stages of maturity.
After maturing and turning brown on the tree for about 4-6 months, the coconut falls naturally, and starts to develop a sprout from the seed. When the mature coconut falls the seed starts to consume the meat and water after a few more months, which begins the sprouting and germination process. Once sprouted an airy, spongy mass forms on the inside that has a crunchy, savory exterior and a sweet light interior.
This is when coconut reaches its peak nutrient density. It has a Coconut Saltwater Taffy Flavor, and unique, spongy, foam like texture.
iHeartFruitBox sources our sprouted coconuts from local Coconut Farmers in Florida.

Sprouted Coconut Pro Tips
Sprouted Coconuts arrive pre husked and ready to eat. To get to the spongy inner core, drop the nut on a concrete surface until it cracks or alternatively hit with a hammer or tool similar to it. Enjoy the spongy mass. There is also usually a layer of Coconut oil in between the Sponge and the Flesh. You can harvest the oil by gently scraping it out with a wooden spoon. Soursop Pro Tips
Our Soursop arrives on the cusp of ripeness. It's ripe when soft to the touch, and slight pressure leaves an imprint. While skin darkening and surface scars may occur, they don't reflect the fruit's interior quality. To enjoy, simply break open and relish the white flesh, but remember to avoid consuming the seeds.
